Like nearly all our sensors, also this one works according to the principle of triangulation. The resolution of 0.003 mm (0.12 mil) is according to the range of higher accuracy. The measuring rate of 10 kHz (sampling frequency 54 kHz) and the response time from 0,1 to 67 ms are adjustable.
The slight light point diameter (0.2 mm) (0.0078 in.) enables the recording of very small components.
One model with a measuring range of 10 mm (0.39 in.) is available.
Due to the separated evaluation electronics, it was possible to minimize the sensor head. Also included in delivery is a 2 m (78.7 in.) long connection cable.
