This versatile usable sensor with integrated CCD camera affords very precise measuring results on nearly all surfaces - from black rubber right up to polished metal. The automatically adaptation to the gloss level by reducing of the measuring frequency enables that feature of the sensor.

Like nearly all our sensors, also the M3 works according to the principle of triangulation. The resolution from 0.005 mm (0.20 mil) is according to the range of higher accuracy. Objects from 1 mm are realized reliably. The response time of 4 ms and the measuring frequency of 1 kHz allow 1000 readings / sec.
Seven versions for measuring ranges from 5 to 250 mm (0.2 in. to 9.8 in.) are obtainable.
The electronics is placed inside the sensor head, only a connection cable is necessary (included in delivery).
The cleverest characteristic of this sensor is the laser shutdown (on/off) .
