For quick start-up and for rapid correction of failures, the lines must be able to be manually operated in disturbance range. The radio remote control is transmitting the corresponding switching functions to the PLC - the time consuming cable routing is to be dropped. The radio remote control replaces an existing, hand actuated, wired control unit. Instead of the hand actuated stationary control unit, the base transceiver station is plugged in and is immediately ready for operation - Thereby dead times are reduced considerably. By the use of wireless connection to the PLC, we have at any time, at any place, feedback about process status, about facility status and are able to intervene quickly, if necessary. This is increasing flexibility and economic efficiency.
